A busy road was closed this morning after a vehicle caught fire near Bolton train station.
Police and fire fighters from Greater Manchester Fire Service (GMFRS) attended the incident after receiving a call around 9am today, of a vehicle fire on Trinity Street.
There are reportedly no injuries.
A spokesperson for GMP said: “We were called at around 9am today on Trinity Street, Bolton to a vehicle that was on fire.
“GMFRS were in attendance.
“There was no mention of any injuries.”
The nature of how the vehicle caught fire has not yet been revealed.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said: “At 9am on Friday December 23 firefighters were called out to a vehicle fire on Trinity Street, Bolton.
“One fire engine from Bolton Central attended the scene where a transit recovery vehicle was on fire.
"Crews used a hose reel and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire and were detained for 20 minutes.”
It was only on Wednesday that fire crews tackled a seven-car fire in Farnworth.
