Family and friends have been left “completely shattered” after a 'bubbly and kind' 23-year-old mum unexpectedly died.
Beth Simpson died in Scotland on November 24, a week after her birthday.
Everyone who knew Beth described her as 'beautiful, inside and out' and she was known to many for her bubbly, fun-loving and kind personality.
Beth died unexpectedly with the cause of death unclear.
One of Beth’s best friends Lauren Killeen says although she moved back to Scotland from Halliwell a couple of years ago, she still made time to visit her and stay in touch.
She said: “We are all in complete shock and heartbroken by her passing away and it's completely shattered the family and broken all of our hearts too.
“Beth was beautiful inside and out everyone knew and loved her for her bubbly fun-loving kind personality.”
Her mum Nicola Fish says that they were more like sisters and best friends rather than a typical mum and daughter.
Nicola said: “My best memory of Beth is making funny TikTok videos together.
“When working Beth always had me laughing and doing the videos.
“Beth absolutely loved working with me.”
She grew up in Halliwell, Bolton and was educated by the outstanding Bolton Impact Trust provision and also attended Lochaber High School in Scotland.
Beth worked alongside her mum cleaning.
Her family say she loved watching the Liverpool football team play and was a huge fan and loved to party occassionally.
Beth often enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, as well as her three-year-old son Leon who she “adored”.
Lauren added: “She was completely obsessed with Liverpool football.
“She loved going out with her friends, spending time with her family and her three-year-old son Leon.
“She adored Leon, and he was her world.
“Beth would do anything for her little boy.
“She was the best mummy to him.”
Beth also has a brother called Dylan and a sister Emma, who she was very close with.
Lauren says out of all the memories of Beth, her favourite was when they went on a girl’s holiday with her mum Nicola to Ibiza.
Lauren added: “We had so much fun whilst over there and didn't stop laughing from the minute we got there till the minute we got home.”
Lauren has since set a GoFundMe page up to help raise money for a mental health charity, as well as helping cover the funeral costs.
Half of the proceeds raised will go towards a mental health charity.
One of the charities the family are thinking of is Lochaber Hope.
Nicola said: “It is so important to her as Beth suffered a long time with this.
“This is what Beth would have wanted.”
The family are also in the process of organising a balloon/lantern release on Saturday.
All her extended family and friends will also be doing a balloon release in Scotland at the exact same time, and they are hoping to share this with each other over facetime.
Lauren added: “This means a lot to us all especially to some of her friends who unfortunately won't be able to make it to Scotland for the funeral.”
