There have been calls for a stronger police presence after a violent disturbance broke out last night.
The community of Little Lever and Moses Gate are said to be up in arms after the incident, which left a number of people in hospital.
Now residents of Little Lever believe a higher police presence is needed to prevent these incidents happening, according to local councillor Sean Hornby.
Police have confirmed that weapons were involved in the incident, which took place at a site 'off Hall Lane' in Little Lever.

Three men were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and four men were arrested in relation to the incident.
Cllr Hornby said: “The incident I’m aware of is Church Street, I’m also told there was activity at the travellers’ site.
“From what I’m seeing on Facebook and people I’ve spoken to, it definitely looks like a stabbing. I’m being told it came from the direction of Hall Lane.”
He continued: “The community are up in arms about it, you’ve got people making the usual statements, that if there were police presence then it would stop.
“You can have as many police as you like, but it wouldn’t stop that happening.
“I’m going to put a letter to the Chief Constable and the Chief Superintendent in Bolton, asking for a meeting for them to get their act together, as Little Lever will not be having a designated officer until February.”
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called at around 5.20pm on Sunday (30 October) to reports of a disturbance involving weapons on a site off Hall Lane, Bolton.
