A number of vehicles on a Bolton housing estate have been keyed causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.
Cars in Florence Avenue in Astley Bridge were scratched in the early hours of the morning on Sunday.
Residents say they have CCTV footage.
CCTV footage captures someone striking the vehicles with a loud screeching sound being heard on the footage.
The cars which were struck included a Vauxhall Corsa, a Toyota Yaris, a BMW and a Fiat Punto.
One resident, who asked not to be named, found out when was on holiday his car was struck along with his son’s.
He also expressed frustration that the police had not been down to collect evidence.
He said: “Mine were struck on Sunday morning at 5.45am.
“I have been given a quote for the two of mine of £1,100.
“It is stressful, I do not need it, especially at this time of the year.”
He added: “I have told the police that I have got footage.
“There is a couple of other people in the street who have got CCTV.
“There has got to be three or four sets of footages going around, but police are not acting on it at all.
“It is very very frustrating.”
The man said that while attempts to break into cars happened in the area it was the first time he had seen vehicles being scratched where he lives.
Police confirmed they were investigating the criminal damage.
They said one was “open for investigation” and another was “assigned for further investigation.”
A police spokesperson said: “No suspects have been identified according to the logs as of yet but anyone with information that may help officers with their enquiries are asked to report it via 101 quoting incident log 1259 or 1375 of 18/10/22.”
