More than 100 people have been arrested since police launched an anti-social behaviour operation this year.
Police launched Operation Overspill in May in response to anti-social behaviour and crime identified in Bolton Town Centre.
To date, it has resulted in a total of 103 arrests for offences including assault, robbery, criminal damage, racially aggravated public order, and sexual assault.
Officers have also issued 12 dispersal notices to remove people who could potentially cause harm or damage to the public.
Police carried out as many as 94 compliance checks at several locations, which highlighted issues, including irresponsible drink promotions and licensing condition issues.
These are currently being addressed with partnership work between Greater Manchester Police and Bolton Council.
As part of the operation, officers attended the NTE Licensing training delivered by a Bolton security company, which ensured staff were fully trained on safeguarding, Challenge 25, Violence Against Women and Girls, and counter-terrorism initiatives.
Chief Inspector Justine Topping, of GMP’s Bolton district, said: “Keeping people safe as they enjoy a night in Bolton Town Centre is a top priority.
“Our officers are really invested in this operation, and we’ve seen a number of arrests.
“Our fight doesn’t stop here though, and we are continuing to work with Bolton Council to ensure the safety of licenced premises and taxis on Bradshawgate.
“We are always gathering intelligence but, as ever, we need members of the public to keep talking to us about issues in the Town Centre – the information you share us vital to detecting criminal activity across Bolton.”
Greater Manchester Police can be contacted via gmp.police.uk or 101.
In an emergency always dial 999.
Information about crime can also be shared anonymously via the independent charity – Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
