There is no access to the M62 from the M60 in Eccles due to an accident.

Junction 12 Eccles on the M60 is causing delays and there is no access to M62 Westbound due to an accident.

A spokesman for Travel For Greater Manchester said: “M60 Junction 12 (Eccles) - No access to M62 westbound from M60 anticlockwise due to an incident. Please allow extra time for your journey.”

Drivers are advised to take alternative routes and plan journeys ahead to avoid getting stuck in the traffic.

Congestion is expected from the M60 Eccles of up to 45 minutes.

A statement from Traffic data system INRIX said: “Queueing traffic on M62 Westbound from J18 M66 J4 (Simister Island) to J12 M60 J12 (Eccles Interchange).

“Travel time is around 45 minutes.”

One lane is also closed westbound between Junction 21 and 20.

National Highways North West said: “The #M62 in #GreaterManchester has 1 lane closed westbound between J21 and J20 due to a collision.

“Recovery on scene and all lanes are expected to re-open shortly.”
