GRETAR Steinsson understands what relegation would mean to the people of Bolton, because he has become one himself.
He chooses to live among them, speaks to them and shares their concerns.
And that, he insists, is what is motivating him to do everything in his power to ensure the Premiership flag continues to fly over the Reebok.
"Everywhere I've been, I have lived in the town or the city where I have played," he said, explaining his decision to set up home in Bolton.
"I have to get the feeling for the town. This way I meet the fans every day."
