The M60 has been reopened following a a fire.

Two lanes were closed earlier this afternoon between junction 15 (Worsley) and junction 16 (Kearsley).

Emergency services were called just after noon.

Traffic officers, the fire service and motorway police all attended.

At 12.30pm, Highways England tweeted: "M60 currently has 2 lanes closed due to a fire."

Ten minutes later one lane was reopened after the fire was dealt with.

All lanes were reopened at around 12.50pm after the car was recovered and emergency services left.
