DAVE Spikey was caught in "horrendous traffic" prior to his showcase at Bolton Albert Halls tonight after a vehicle fire on the M61.
It is understood the comedian was held up in the major traffic jam that ensued following a lorry fire and diesel spillage this afternoon.
There were long tail backs as a result of two lane closures on the southbound carriageway between Junction 8 for Chorley and Junction 6 for Horwich, while resurfacing works were carried out.
