AN Argos lorry caught fire on the M60 last night briefly closing all four lanes of the motorway.
Fire crews from Farnworth and Eccles responded to the fire, which could have been caused by the brakes.
The lorry was in a clockwise lane when it caught fire, close to junction 13, Worsley.
Watch manager Dan Smith from Eccles said: "Crews worked hard to put a stop to it and prevented the goods inside from being damaged as much as possible. We were there around an hour."
He added the assumption was the fire was to do with the lorries breaks but that this would be determined by the fire investigation.
No one was injured in the incident which happened at around 11pm. Police and Highways officers also attended to manage traffic.
