GREGGS will be opening a shop at Bolton’s new £48 million transport interchange tomorrow.
The bakery chain’s newest site will be its fourth in the town centre — adding to the shops in Newport Street, Deansgate, and the Market Place Shopping Centre.
The interchange shop has created 14 new jobs.
£48 million Bolton transport interchange, in Great Moor Street, opens this weekend
Peter Hunt, shop manager at Greggs Bolton Interchange, said: “I’m very proud to be managing this new shop and the shop team are looking forward to hearing what the local community think.”
Roisin Currie, retail director for Greggs, said: “We’re delighted to be able to invest in Bolton and provide our valued customers with a modern and convenient new shop.
“We hope our new and existing customers enjoy the wide range of products on offer, whether they’re grabbing a hot cup of coffee, a freshly-made sandwich or a delicious savoury or sweet treat.”
The interchange shop will be open from 6am to 8pm Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 6pm on Sundays.
Bolton town centre also has two Carrs Pasties shops, four branches of Greenhalgh’s, two Poundbakery stores, and the historic Ye Olde Pastie Shoppe.
The first bus will leave the new interchange, which is a replacement for the Moor Lane bus station, at 6.15am on Sunday.
