A PLACE at two of the world’s leading universities awaits students from Bolton.
Fourteen Bolton School sixth formers have been offered a place at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
The bright young things have successfully applied for places to read everything from economics and management to medicine and classics.
Nine students in the boys’ division and five in the girls’ division have their sights on the top universities.
A spokesman for Bolton School said: “These prestigious institutions, both among the best universities in the world, ask applicants to stand out even before the rigorous interviews, calling for exceptional UCAS application forms and some subjects also requiring additional examinations.
“However, the school provides additional support to all Cambridge and Oxford applicants throughout the gruelling process, and this year 14 have been successful.
“For all 14 students, receiving their offers is a wonderful achievement and the school wishes them the best of luck in achieving the grades needed to accept their places at Oxford and Cambridge.”
