Firefighters tackle transit van blaze
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a van fire in Farnworth.
The transit van caught fire at around 4am on the driveway of a home in Piggott Street.
A crew were on the scene for 45 minutes tackling the blaze.
Crew manager Gaz Peters said: "There was damage to the engine and front of the vehicle.
"We cannot say at this time whether it is being treated as arson."
