A FUN run with a difference is coming to Bolton — and it involves bubbles!
The 5km Bubble Rush, in aid of Bolton Hospice, involves participants running, jogging or walking through foam.
It will take place in Queens Park on September 18, and those taking part will be sprayed with brightly coloured foam by huge cannons.
Bolton School Boys’ Division pupil, Barnaby Keogh, is one of the first people to sign up for the foam fun.
His headteacher Mr Philip Britton set pupils a 60-day summer challenge to make those days count’ and Barnaby is doing just that.
Barney, 10, The 10-year-old said: “One of my challenges is to do something for others. I am a very lucky person, enjoying good health and a loving family, but others are not so fortunate.
“Very sadly, it isn’t just the old who die, it is sometimes the young as well.
“Bolton Hospice provides fantastic support for people in their final days, offering care and dignity at this most difficult time.
“so, in recognition of the great work done by Bolton Hospice, I am training for my first 5k run.”
