THE funeral of Bolton comedian Bob Williamson will be held today.
Friends, family and fans of the comic are invited to pay their final respects at the West Chapel at Overdale Crematorium at 1.30pm, followed by a private ceremony.
The Bolton-born-and-bred funnyman died on June 19 at the age of 67, at Hazelbrook Nursing Home, Horwich. following a long battle with a rare blood disorder.

He rose to fame in the 1970s as part of the folk/comedy boom, which included names such as Jasper Carrott, Mike Harding, Billy Connolly and Bernard Wrigley and released three albums Superturn (Sweet Folk All), Greatest Hits Volume 6 and Still Hazy After All These Beers.
A compilation CD of 35 of his greatest hits was released in 2006, which was his last published works.
