A cul-de-sac in Lostock has become the home of a peacock on the prowl.
The colourfully-feathered creature has been nestling in with the residents of Copperfields after flying in last week.
New neighbour Charlotte Blyth, aged 39, caught the male peafowl on camera as it cased the neighbourhood.
She said: "It suddenly arrived last Wednesday or Tuesday.
"My husband first saw it when he was out for a run, it was just there on our neighbours roof!
"He's been moving from roof to roof and going to Havisham Close which is behind us, but always comes back here.
"So far he's been fine but I'm a bit worried about opening the window in case he decides to come in.
"We are hoping to find its owners because we don't want to it get ran over by a car or hurt when it's dark.
"He's absolutely gorgeous, having him here has been like living in a stately manor, we don't really want him to go."
Lost goose and gosling stop traffic
Mrs Blyth said the RSPCA and police were contacted when the bird first showed up but have been unable to help.
