A HUGE fire destroyed a caravan in Little Hulton.
Fire crews were called after the blaze started in the caravan in Ridyard Street at about 6.30pm last night.
The vehicle, which was parked outside a house, was destroyed in the incident but crews from Farnworth Fire Station were able to stop the flames from spreading to the property.
A garage attached to the house also suffered damage, with the doors and timber frame burnt.
No one was injured in the incident.
Carl Haslam, watch manager at Farnworth said: "It was a big fire, when we went out on the job we could see the smoke from our station, which gives you an indication of the size of it.
"The caravan was fully alight when we arrived and our crew worked hard to make sure that the fire did not spread to the property and we are of course pleased that no one was hurt."
An investigation is now underway in a bid to find out how the blaze started.
