A MAN has been found dead on a bridge in Kearsley.
Police were called to Church Road, which runs over the A666 St Peter’s Way and joins Clammerclough Road, shortly before 6am this morning after reports of a man found collapsed on the pavement.
Police and ambulance attended the scene but man, believed to be in his late 60s or early 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is not believed to be suspicious.
A spokesman for GMP said: "We were called just before 6am to reports of an elderly man found collapsed on the pavement on the bridge."
