WITH the Miss England final just five months away Bolton's beauty queens have been out celebrating the competitions return to the North West.
Miss Lancashire, Lucy Physick, from Westhoughton, and Miss North West, Christina Cunningham, from Kearsley, joined current Miss England, Natasha Hemmings, to announce the location of this year's competition.
After 11 years, the Miss England grand final has returned to the North West and 50 regional winners from across the country will arrive this summer in Southport for the prestigious three day event on July 19 to 21 vying for the national crown and a prize worth £25,000.
Christina said: "I had such a memorable time speaking to the public in Southport about the Miss England competition, especially the charity work which is at the heart of the competition.
"In the past five years in the North West, Miss England contestants have raised almost £250,000.
"I really cannot wait to represent Bolton and the North West as Miss North West 2016 at the Miss England Final in Southport, later this year."

Lucy added: "I especially look forward to promoting a health body and mind, with the Miss England sports round showing ambition, determination and most of all team work. These are just three key aspects which young women and men of should make a priority in their lives."
