BOLTON School staff and students gave up their Saturday to cook a meal for the town's homeless and vulnerable.
Staff from the school's catering, finance and estates department provided clothing and bedding as well as serving a meal of meat and potato pie, red cabbage and a bread roll, followed by apple crumble in the boys' division dining room.
More than 50 people were directed to the school by Urban Outreach, The Salvation Army, Community Kitchens, Hope for Homeless, Young Person’s Housing and other agencies.
Catering manager, Karen Riley, said: "We collected lots of warm clothing and takeaway bags to give out to our guests and they all went away heavily laden."
