SIXTH-form girls went wild to mark their last day at school .
Bolton School's year 13 organised a fun animal themed fancy dress for their final day before their leave of absence before their exams.
And the teenagers made amazing costumes and helped to create a jungle feel with the streamers and decorations throughout the school so everyone could get in on the animal magic day.
The herd gathered outside on the sports field, where animals from every continent and part of the animal kingdom could be spotted — from peacocks and parrots to penguins.
Exotic animals such as lions, zebras, elephants and gorillas rubbed shoulders with chicks, cows and a flock of fluffy white sheep.
Koalas and kangaroos were also popular costumes. There were even undersea creatures — including three jellyfish, two octopuses and a lobster — and the insect world was represented by ladybirds, butterflies and bees.
Head of Sixth Form Catherine Winder wore a bee costume — very fitting to reflect her busy position — and the rest of the Year 13 tutors got involved with the fun as well.
Mrs Winder said: "The girls and staff had a great time playing inter-form rounders — which was no easy feat for those wearing more elaborate costumes, but nonetheless a lot of fun. There was a great deal of excitement in the run-up to the final and many girls stayed to watch all the way to the end of the match.
"The girls were also treated to ice creams, which they sat outside in the sunshine to enjoy.
"The morning ended with a celebratory buffet lunch in the Arts Centre before the girls bid the School farewell for the final time before the exams start in earnest."
