POLICE are searching for a woman reported missing from Bolton who speaks no English.

Maria Di Fatima Carvalho De Brito, aged 50, was wearing a black coat, black ballet pumps and jeans the last time she was seen.

The Portuguese woman was last seen at her home near Blackburn Road at 9.45am yesterday.

She has now been missing now for approaching 24 hours, and does not have her purse or mobile phone with her.

Police say she went to Asda in Astley Bridge yesterday morning to buy a loaf of bread but returned home after that.

Ms De Brito is known to frequent Asda and some of the stores in The Valley leisure complex. 

She is white, about 5ft tall and slim.
