YOUNG singers from Bolton stepped out onto the legendary cobbles of the nation's favourite street for a special performance to celebrate the festive season.
Bolton School girls' division choir brought some seasonal magic to Coronation Street to launch 'Christmas on the Cobbles'.
The choir sang Christmas carols and a melody of a number of songs from the hit Disney film, Frozen, to celebrate a new development in the Street's history.
For 53 years, viewers have watched Corrie's residents celebrate Christmas and now, for the first time ever, visitors to Coronation Street The Tour can experience the magic of a Weatherfield Christmas for themselves.
Those who visit from now until January 11 will see the festive side of Coronation Street as the fairy lights twinkle and houses are adorned with Christmas decorations and snow covered rooftops.
The choir was invited to perform on Friday and was one of the first to see the transformation of the street.
There will a special video montage taking people through past Christmas times on the street.
Headteacher at Bolton School, Sue Hincks said: "The girls were delighted to be involved in the event at the Granada Studios and to see the set of their favourite soap for themselves."
After their performance, the girls were given a tour of the set, including experiencing a Christmas in The Rovers Return for some picture opportunities.
During the 12 days of Christmas, Bolton School boys' division choir will also make an appearance to entertain visitors.
