BOLTON firemen were called out to assist at a huge barn blaze in Wigan late on Friday night.
A crew from Bolton fire station worked through the night to put out the fire at a farm in Back Lane, Appley Bridge.
They were called out just before 9pm on Friday, February 21, along with five other units from Wigan, Chorley and Skelmersdale fire stations.
The crews used five jets to combat the flames and stop the fire spreading to other nearby farm buildings, and at its height around 30 firefighters were on the scene.
An investigation has now been launched to uncover the cause of the fire. No-one was hurt during the incident.
