A motorcyclist was caught by police after allegedly reaching speeds up to 150mph.

The biker, riding a Ducati Panigale V4, was stopped by officers on patrol on the M61 just after 10am on Friday May 17.

According to police he had been speeding along at 150mph before being stopped and reported for the dangerous riding.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “A GP Wannabe on a Ducati Panigale V4 SPL was caught by GMP Traffic at speeds up to 150mph, brought to a safe stop.

“The rider was reported for dangerous riding and a change of underpants!

“Instead of a court trip, why not book in to Bike Safe UK? Our Officers will make you a better safer rider!”

An image supplied by police on patrol shows the biker appearing to speed along the M61, which runs from Salford, through Bolton and further on into Lancashire.
